The Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning, upkeep, and basic maintenance of Tribal Government buildings and facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role may include additional duties as needed to support departmental goals and operations. This position reflects PCI’s core values of Perseverance, Opportunity, Accountability, Respect, Culture, and Honesty . Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain assigned buildings and facilities
- Set up rooms for scheduled activities
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment safely
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels
- Report maintenance issues to supervisor
- Dispose of waste according to policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year experience in custodial/housekeeping position preferred.
- Six (6) months’ experience in custodial/housekeeping field in an office setting preferred.
- Must have an insurable driving record according to the Tribal Insurance guidelines.
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
- Must complete the required criminal and character background check.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Flexible to work varied hours and travel as needed
- Able to complete tasks and follow through
- Accountable with strong communication skills
