Salary:

Contingent on award, Ampersand Solutions Group ( AMPERSAND ) has a requirement for one or more Information Technology Specialists who will support a critical DoD mission providing full scope information technology (IT) support to classified and unclassified systems, applications, and networks in a complex hybrid multicloud environment.

Scope : Responsible for design, installation, configuration, administration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of unclassified and classified equipment / devices in accordance with DoD and customer guidance, instructions, procedures, and processes leveraging Agile methodologies. Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities hosted and services by the Program. Works closely with Program Management, Information Assurance (Cyber), software development teams, analysis groups, and end-users to understand and implement requirements necessary to fulfill customer requirements. Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries. Maintains IT databases and performs light programming tasks in relation to system administration needs. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT system technologies to advance and support Program requirements. Provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks. Interfaces with vendors for procurement and maintenance of infrastructure equipment. Assists with Government Furnished Equipment / Government Furnished Property (GFE / GFP) contract hardware / software maintenance, repairs, and processes. Responsible for maintaining inventory and organization of different types of software and hardware resources.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 0-3 years of relevant, related experience plus:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field or:
    • Associates Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution plus 2 years relevant, related experience
    • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution plus 4 years relevant, related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the appropriate level
  • Willing to periodically travel in support of test events
  • DoD Instruction 8570.01M IA certification

Desired Qualifications

• ACTIVE DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET Clearance
• Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System
• Experience handling classified data
• SQL Server / SQL Server as a Service experience
• AWS, Azure, VMWare experience
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Hands on experience with IaC technologies including CloudFormation, Azure Resource Management templates, Terraform, etc
• Experience installing and using various CI/CD tools
• Windows and Linux system administration experience
