Senior Accountant

About the Role:

As a CPA Accountant at Landing, you’ll play an active role in shaping the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup. You’ll collaborate closely with our Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to own key responsibilities like balance sheet and P&L reviews. More than just day-to-day accounting, this role puts you at the center of building and evolving new processes that scale with the business. We ensure that compliance is efficiently maintained using systems and well-defined processes to achieve this. We play a critical role in Landing's mission, and we partner closely with the business to make the company more successful.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the full accounting cycle: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements with an eye for insights and actionable recommendations.
• Lead accounting projects independently—process improvements, internal controls, system upgrades, and more.
• Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and implement them with confidence.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate policies; coordinate with auditors as needed.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on accounting and finance matters.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff when needed, but your focus is ownership and delivery, not supervision.

Who You Are:

• Must be CPA license holder with 3–7 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Experienced with both detailed execution and higher-level project ownership
• Proactive problem-solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
• Comfortable making decisions, juggling priorities, and driving results independently
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Tech-savvy with experience in accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar
• A communicator who can translate numbers into meaningful insights for business leaders
