Job Description

TCS is searching for a Principal Software Test Engineer to join our strong team of Software Developers supporting our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attack. The selected candidate will use modern software testing tools to further the development of the GMD system.

Responsibilities:

The selected Principal Test Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the GWS-GSS IPT. This candidate will be responsible for scheduling the tests for execution and then will monitor the test progress, measure test progress, control test progress, report on test progress, report on the product quality status, report on the test results, adapt the test plans, and compensate as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 5 years of experience; a master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or a PhD with 1 year of experience.
• Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.
• Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.
• Experience in C++ development
• Experience using Python and other scripting languages
• Experience using Eggplant or other GUI based toolset
• Experience with Gitlab or Bitbucket
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
• Applicants must possess a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications :

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• GMD/MDA Experience
• Java experience/understanding
• Experience using Cameo
• Current CompTIA Sec+ certification
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
