Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This per diem opportunity is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who are passionate about contributing to student growth in an educational setting. Positioned in Wetumpka, AL, this role focuses on providing individualized academic, behavioral, and social support to students, fostering their success in a collaborative classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic and behavioral assistance under teacher supervision
• Assist students with daily transitions, routines, and overall classroom engagement
• Implement and adhere to behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks as needed
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama LPN license in good standing
• At least 18 years of age
• Up-to-date TB testing in compliance with district guidelines
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when required
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain necessary background checks prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school environments, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), PMT (Positive Mental Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is advantageous
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a team-oriented mindset
