About the Role:
The Business Analyst will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the technical teams to ensure that business needs are accurately captured and translated into actionable requirements. This role focuses on identifying gaps in current business processes and systems, analyzing data to support decision-making, and facilitating the development of effective solutions that drive organizational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead efforts in gathering and documenting detailed business requirements, conducting data mapping and cleansing activities, and supporting user acceptance testing to validate solutions. By leveraging analytical tools and methodologies, the Business Analyst will help optimize workflows and contribute to the continuous improvement of business operations. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance the alignment between business objectives and technology implementations, ensuring successful project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements in a professional setting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in gap analysis and business process improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for process mapping and documentation.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinating testing activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data mapping and data cleansing techniques.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of macros to automate tasks.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Certification as a Business Analyst (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a technology-driven or data-intensive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements.
- Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes, recommending improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed process flows and diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
- Conduct data mapping and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy for project deliverables.
- Support the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business needs.
- Create and utilize macros to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in data handling and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and project status.
