We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and support the daily operations of our Physical Therapy department .

This role works directly alongside our Physical Therapist to ensure patients receive structured, high-quality rehabilitation care . The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, confident in their clinical skills, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment .

Our clinic proudly serves veterans and the surrounding community , and we are committed to delivering professional, patient-centered rehabilitation care focused on improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function.

This position may also appeal to PTAs who are interested in taking on greater responsibility and helping support the development and organization of a growing therapy department .

Competitive pay based on experience
(Consistent with the Montgomery, AL market rate for Physical Therapist Assistants)

Schedule

Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Lunch
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Friday
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

If the Physical Therapist has scheduled visits, the shift will end after the final patient evaluation of the day .

Role Overview

The PTA will play an important role in supporting the Physical Therapist and helping maintain the structure and workflow of the Physical Therapy department .

This position requires someone who can effectively guide patients through rehabilitation exercises while maintaining consistency with the Physical Therapist’s treatment plan .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation protocols
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support the daily workflow and organization of the Physical Therapy department
• Help ensure patients receive safe, effective, and professional therapy care
• Contribute to a positive and supportive patient experience

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Active or eligible license to practice in Alabama
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic, rehabilitation, or sports medicine settings preferred
