We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team in Guntersville, United States. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering packages and goods to customers throughout the service area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, accurate, and courteous delivery services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely package delivery
- Collect signatures, payments, and delivery documentation from customers
- Maintain accurate delivery records and manifests using delivery management systems
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly
- Keep delivery vehicles clean and organized at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving delivery concerns professionally
- Lift, carry, and load packages safely, following proper handling procedures
- Navigate using GPS systems and maps to locate delivery addresses efficiently
- Report delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, and customer complaints to management
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status and issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating delivery or commercial vehicles
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read maps and navigate using GPS technology
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and load packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Reliability and consistent punctuality
- Knowledge of local roads and geography in the Guntersville area (preferred)
- Experience with delivery management software or systems (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities (preferred)
- Commercial driving experience (preferred)
