As the independent system operator for the region, they seek skilled professionals to support their critical mission — ensuring a reliable electric grid, efficient markets, open access, and retail choice. With a diverse organization, employees bring a wide range of experience and expertise to excel in the current energy landscape while preparing for the future.

Job Summary

At the center of a complex and highly regulated electric grid environment, this role plays a critical part in balancing reliability, market efficiency, and innovation. We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Architecture Lead focused on Business Process Engineering to drive transformative, enterprise-wide change.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level process architectures that provide visibility into business capabilities, process interdependencies, and system integrations

  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and breakthrough innovation
  • Design and implement reengineered processes aligned with strategic objectives, regulatory obligations, and stakeholder expectations
  • Evaluate and recommend technology-enabled solutions such as automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent workflows to improve operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Build compelling business cases and ROI models for transformation initiatives, including artificial intelligence and advanced analytics adoption
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and refine processes using data, metrics, and stakeholder feedback
  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Design future-state processes aligned with enterprise architecture principles, regulatory compliance requirements, and long-term strategic roadmaps
  • Serve as a change agent and thought leader, driving adoption of modern business process and architecture practices

Job Skills Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business process improvement, enterprise architecture, or large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Enterprise architecture design and governance
  • Business process analysis, modeling, and optimization
  • Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and continuous improvement
  • Cross-functional facilitation and workshop leadership
  • Strategic planning and alignment with enterprise goals
  • Stakeholder management and executive-level communication
  • Process mapping and documentation (current-state and future-state)
  • Systems integration and understanding of process-to-technology alignment
  • Data-driven decision-making and performance measurement
  • Change management and organizational transformation
  • Development of business cases and ROI analysis
  • Regulatory compliance awareness in highly regulated environments
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Risk identification and mitigation

Education

  • Hands-on experience with Business Process Reengineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN) is preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman is preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FERC, NERC, PUCT) and their impact on business processes and system design is preferred
  • Deep understanding of electric grid operations and energy market functions is preferred
  • Background in risk management or operational risk assessment is preferred
