Master Planner Scheduler
Description
The Master Planner/Scheduler is responsible for transforming demand and supply inputs into an actionable master production schedule. In this role, you will convert forecasts, incoming order volume, and defined work scopes into a time-phased production plan. You will also develop and track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of the master schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Convert forecasts from S&OP, incoming demand, and work scopes into a detailed production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
Define and monitor KPIs to measure master schedule accuracy and performance.
Partner with functional leaders to maintain forecast accuracy through timely updates and feedback.
Prepare master schedule reports that track performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans.
Review current demand projections and develop tactical production plans to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; or an Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in manufacturing, operations, or materials management.
8+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or manufacturing operations within a standard-product environment.
Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, bills of material, routings, inventory management, and capacity planning.
APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with data-driven planning tools.
Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; or an Associate’s degree/equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, or materials management.
Experience: 8+ years in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or manufacturing operations within a standard-product environment. Experience with MRP/ERP systems, BOMs, routings, inventory control, and capacity planning required.
Skills: APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred. Advanced Excel and data-driven planning skills. Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement practices.
