Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification for Special Education in Alabama
- Knowledge of current instructional methods, IEP development, and accommodations for students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and commitment to student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities
- Monitor student progress and update IEPs in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support student learning and behavior management
- Engage with parents, caregivers, and staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Complete required documentation, reports, and assessments in compliance with regulations
- Maintain an organized, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
