EHS Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated professional to help foster a world-class Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) culture. This role will partner with team members and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, drive safety initiatives, and reduce workplace risks and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support employees and leaders in identifying hazards, reporting incidents, and developing a robust safety program.
- Collaborate with EH&S Managers to lead facility-wide EH&S initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA General Industry Standards, West Fraser policies, and all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Deliver EH&S training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Track and report progress toward EH&S goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and timely EH&S records and reports.
- Provide first aid and triage support for employees and contractors when needed.
- Contribute to health screenings, education programs, OSHA recordkeeping, hearing conservation, and other health-related processes.
Qualifications:
- Prior EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of building and sustaining effective EH&S programs.
- Skilled in presenting and training team members.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and capable of demonstrating strong leadership.
- Proven ability to build and maintain cohesive teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications.
