Mohs Lab Histotechnologist

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Athens, AL (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday| 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mohs Lab Histotechnologist to support our Mohs surgery team by preparing and processing tissue specimens for accurate and timely diagnosis. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative dermatology practice focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

•Prepare and process tissue specimens for Mohs surgery.

•Perform frozen sectioning, tissue embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining.

•Maintain accurate specimen labeling and documentation.

•Perform routine quality control and equipment maintenance.

•Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and stocked.

•Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.

•Work closely with Mohs surgeons and clinical staff to support efficient workflow.

Requiurements:

•Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field.

•HT or HTL certification preferred.

•At least 1 year of Mohs lab experience required.

•Experience with frozen sectioning, microtomy, tissue embedding, and H&E staining.

•Familiarity with EMR/LIS systems (EMA experience is a plus).

•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
