Job Summary:

Martin Environmental Services is seeking a Billing and Receivables Manager to assist with and oversee all aspects of the billing and collections cycle to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and customer payments. The Billing and Receivables Manager plays a vital role in managing the company’s finances and ensuring timely payment collection and processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and/or receivables, be able to thrive in a fast paced/high volume environment ,and have the ability to work with a variety of tasks. Key responsibilities include daily, weekly, and monthly billing; managing accounts receivable aging reports; oversight of receivables and collections staff; reconciling and maintaining clean customer accounts; collaborating with sales, operations, and customer service departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure payments and invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor customer account balances to identify those outside of payment terms
• Oversee the accounts receivable, billing, and collections team including processes associated with each job function
• Assist as needed with receivables, billing, and collections
• Identify opportunities to develop and implement new processes and strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy of the department
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and billing-related disputes with customers
• Assist Controller as needed with payables and other tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, customers, and external parties as required
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
• Education: High School diploma or GED (accredited). Associates Degree or higher, preferred

Job Type and Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday through Friday 8 hour shift
• Some Holidays
