Cyber Capability Developer (SME)

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Cyber Capability Developer (SME) to join our team in Huntsville, AL or Clarksburg, WV. In this role, you will utilize your extensive cyber operations expertise to develop advanced cyber capabilities and tools in support of mission-critical defense objectives.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and implement offensive and defensive cyber tools.


• Lead the technical design and architecture of cybersecurity systems and solutions.


• Utilize Splunk Enterprise Security for data analytics and security monitoring.


• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet operational objectives.


• Ensure developed capabilities meet DoD security and compliance standards.

If you're suitable for this role, you have:

• 10+ years of professional experience related to cyber operations and capability development.


• Expertise in Splunk Enterprise Security.


• Strong problem-solving, coding, and systems engineering skills.


• Deep knowledge of modern cyber threats and defense mechanisms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel.


• GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)


• Understanding of NIST NICE Work Roles such as Defensive Cybersecurity (PD-WRL-001), Incident Response (PD-WRL-002), Cyber Threat Intelligence (PD-WRL-006), and Cyber Investigation (PD-WRL-007)
