IT Business Analyst (Contract-to-Hire | Remote with Birmingham Preference)

A leading healthcare services organization is partnering with our team to identify an experienced IT Business Analyst to support enterprise-level initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, drive business requirements, and play a key role in delivering high-impact technology solutions.

We’re seeking a Business Analyst who is both a strong business partner and comfortable working at a more technical level—translating requirements into actionable deliverables and supporting projects through testing and delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders across the organization
• Elicit, document, and refine detailed business and functional requirements
• Ensure alignment between business needs and project scope
• Facilitate stakeholder sign-off on requirements prior to development
• Partner with technical teams to translate requirements into system-level documentation
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and oversee UAT processes
• Ensure solutions align with original requirements and manage changes through proper channels
• Track project risks, provide status updates, and support delivery milestones
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
• Hands-on experience with testing methodologies, including test plans and scripts
• Strong understanding of systems, applications, and technical environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook) and Visio
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Experience

• Background supporting HR, Talent Acquisition, or Revenue Cycle systems
• Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments
• Exposure to both business-facing and technical aspects of analysis
