Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to support our 45 year old classroom . The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment . As an Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support daily classroom routines, learning activities, and the developmental needs of preschool children. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate preschool learning activities .
- Support play-based learning, small group activities, and classroom lessons .
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment .
- Encourage childrens social, emotional, and cognitive development .
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions .
- Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom setup .
- Observe children and support their learning and developmental progress .
- Maintain positive communication with teachers, staff, and families .
- High School Diploma or equivalent required .
- Additional coursework or experience in Early Childhood Education is a plus .
- Experience working with young children or in a childcare/preschool setting preferred .
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills .
- Ability to create a patient, supportive, and engaging environment for children .
- Experience assisting in a preschool or early learning classroom .
- Knowledge of play-based learning and child development basics .
- Strong patience, empathy, and classroom support skills .
- Passion for helping children build confidence, independence, and curiosity .
