Activities Assistant
Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation
Do you have a positive attitude, a creative spirit, and a passion for making someone's day a little brighter? Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation is looking for an energetic Activities Assistant to help create meaningful experiences for our residents through games, crafts, music, celebrations, outings, and other engaging activities.
Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekends required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading daily activities
- Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one activities for room-bound residents
- Transport residents to and from activities
- Document resident participation and responses
- Help decorate for holidays and special events
- Assist with activity calendars, bulletin boards, and special programs
- Promote a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment for residents and their families
- Work closely with other departments to provide exceptional resident care
Qualifications:
- Experience working with the elderly or disabled is preferred
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
