What You'll Do
- Regularly holds safety, quality, customer feedback and financial information meetings with maintenance team members
- Reviews safety requirements and points out potential hazards that may exist
- Ensures, at the start of the shift and throughout the day, the prompt assignment of technicians to specific jobs which are appropriate to their possessed skills and/or to their training needs
- Reviews available planned job packages for completeness and correctness
- Confirms the technician knows what, where, how, why, and when for each job providing the opportunity for clarification
- Makes the tactical decisions necessary: staying as close to schedule as possible
- Assures accurate distribution of time and materials to specific jobs together with good feedback including proper work order entries
- Assures that any necessary corrective work orders stemming from inspections and other sources have been initiated
What You'll Need
- Two years' supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures and ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics
- Experience working with and maintaining welding machines, hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment, pneumatic equipment and cooling systems
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Profession (CMRP) certification preferred
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
