Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled surgical support professional is needed for a contract opportunity in a dynamic operating room environment. Utilize your expertise to assist in a variety of surgical procedures and support the surgical team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred; non-certified surgical techs will also be considered
• Previous operating room technician (ORT) and surgical technology experience strongly desired
• Comprehensive understanding of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and equipment
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, arrange surgical instruments, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for scheduled procedures
• Assist surgeons and nurses with gowning, gloving, and draping patients
• Function as a scrub or circulating technician as required
• Pass instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and help monitor for breaches in sterility
• Account for all surgical tools and materials before, during, and after surgery
• Support room turnover and cleaning processes between cases
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure positive surgical outcomes

$1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
