Job Summary

W e are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Microsoft 365 Information Security Specialist to plan, implement, and manage robust data protection measures across Microsoft 365 environments. This role focuses on safeguarding sensitive information from internal and external threats using Microsoft Purview, Azure Information Protection, and other Microsoft security solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient collaboration platforms.

Job Description

• Implement data protection strategies using Microsoft Purview to secure sensitive data.
• Develop and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data retention policies aligned with compliance requirements.
  
• Monitor and manage insider risk, security alerts, and incident response procedures.
  
• Design and apply data classification and labeling strategies to govern information handling.
  
• Define IAM strategies and manage access to collaboration services in Microsoft 365.
  
• Continuously assess and improve the data security posture within Microsoft environments.
  
• Collaborate with governance, application, and security stakeholders to align on security policies and controls.
  
• Administer Entra ID, including service principals, secrets, certificates, and managed identities.
  
• Manage Exchange Online and on-prem infrastructure, ensuring secure and compliant email services.
  
• Implement data-at-rest encryption solutions, including integration with Thales HSMs.
  
• Oversee service onboarding, license management, and business continuity planning.
  
• Provide end-user training and support, ensuring adoption of security practices.
  
• Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident responses.
  

Job Skills Required

• 5–7 years of experience securing and managing Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Azure Information Protection.
  
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and security task management.
  
• Deep knowledge of encryption, compliance, data retention, and identity federation.
  
• Proven ability to design and implement security controls aligned with organizational risk goals.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
