Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to provide contract services in a supportive educational environment from August 7 through June 10. These roles are based onsite in the vibrant Birmingham, Alabama area and will focus on serving school-aged children. Caseloads and specific assignments will be developed according to the needs and locations within the district, offering meaningful impact and professional growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator Certification
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations related to special education and services for children with disabilities
• Understanding of pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development
• Familiarity with medical and psychological diagnostic tools for assessing children with disabilities
• Ability to interpret relevant laws, policies, and regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong oral and written communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students as assigned
• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide engaging therapy sessions tailored to diverse student needs
