Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid Professional Educator Certification.
• Strong background in the laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the education and services for children with disabilities.
• Solid understanding of pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development, as well as diagnostic tools for assessing student needs.
• Familiarity with terminology related to physical and learning disabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and compile data in accordance with legal and institutional guidelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services to students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues and families regarding speech and language development.
