This isn't your typical corporate desk job. You will be partnering directly with an industry leader who brings nearly three decades of national insurance success, a Masters in Financial Services, a track record of building and selling a massive national agency, and published authorship in business building. At Shon Messer LLC (Farmers Insurance District 5010), our mission is simple: we help independent agency owners create freedom, income, and legacy.
With 36 active agencies across Alabama, our district office is a powerhouse of growth. I am seeking a high-caliber Associate District Manager (ADM) to serve as my executive partner. In this role, you will partner directly with the District Manager to recruit, train, and mentor new insurance agents while analyzing performance metrics to drive district-wide growth across auto, home, life, and commercial lines.
The Role: Your Purpose
The Associate District Manager is a high-visibility, key leadership and business development position designed for a growth strategist and people builder.
Your time will be split between hunting for the next generation of top-tier insurance entrepreneurs and rolling up your sleeves to help our 36 current agents optimize their sales technology, master modern pipelines, and shatter growth goals across Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial lines.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Recruiting & Talent Sourcing : Own the districts talent acquisition strategy. Actively scout, interview, and recruit high-potential candidates for retail agencies, startup operations, and our Protg Agent program.
Agent Mentorship & Tech Optimization: Serve as the district's modern tech champion. Train, support, and help our 36 agents maximize their customer relationship management (CRM) tools, quote-to-bind automation, digital lead generation, and modern sales tech stacks.
Business Development & Performance Analytics: Analyze district scorecards and agency performance metrics to diagnose production gaps. Translate raw data into targeted, executable business solutions that drive growth across all core lines.
Onboarding & Deployment Launch: Partner with the District Manager to execute world-class onboarding paths that get new agents trained, licensed, profitable, and fully operational faster.
RequirementsLicensing Prerequisite: Must hold an active Alabama license in either Property & Casualty (P&C) OR Life & Health (L&H) upon hire. You will be required to successfully obtain both licenses within your first 90 days.
Tech Savvy & Analytical: Advanced comfort with modern business technology, CRM platforms, and digital sales funnels. You must be highly proficient with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) to track metrics and confident teaching new technology to independent agents.
Sales Experience: A proven track record in sales, business development, or account management. You need to understand the mechanics of closing deals so you can effectively coach others to do the same.
High Follow-Through & Ownership: You don't just start projectsyou cross the finish line. You possess a strong internal drive, sharp organizational skills, and a reputation for closing the loop on all tasks.
Self-Starter & Adaptable: Thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment. You are comfortable taking high-level objectives from the District Manager, adapting to the daily needs of 36 different agencies, and executing without being micro-managed.
