The Steel Fabrication Trainee will learn and assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of steel components used in industrial, structural, and custom metal projects. This is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training in welding, blueprint reading, material handling, and fabrication processes within a steel manufacturing environment. ________________________________________

Steel Fabrication Trainee Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $16.25 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• Various shifts available ( Monday through Saturday )

• Learn and assist with measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and welding steel materials. • Support experienced fabricators with layout and assembly of steel structures and components.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment (saws, grinders, drills, etc.).

• Learn to interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints. • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.

• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished products.

• Participate in on-the-job training sessions to develop fabrication and welding skills.

• Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

Steel Fabrication Trainee Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in metalworking or welding.

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

• Willingness to learn and follow safety and quality procedures.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. ________________________________________
