Advance Fleet Services is a premier fleet service provider and truck center located in central Birmingham, Alabama. With decades of experience and a team of highly skilled technicians, we provide full in-house service for all makes and models of heavy-duty on-road and off-road equipment, including forklifts and trailers. Were a rapidly growing company with increasing customer demand and were looking for a motivated Diesel Technician to grow with us. Position Overview
As a Level B Diesel Mechanic, youll play a key role in maintaining and repairing Class 38 vehicles and equipment. This position is ideal for someone with solid foundational experience whos ready to advance their skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay & Schedule
- Starting at $25.00/hour
- Full-time position
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Class 38 diesel vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic software
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance
- Repair or replace defective parts and components
- Perform welding and soldering as needed
- Maintain accurate repair order documentation
- Provide professional customer service and communication
- Participate in occasional roadside service calls
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- 12 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with PM services, air systems, electrical systems, wheel ends, coolant systems, and A/C repair
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Must have personal tools and toolbox
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- EPA 608/609 Certification
