Youth/Young Adult Minister

First Baptist Church Meridianville is a growing, multi-generational congregation located just 10 miles north of downtown Huntsville in beautiful northern Alabama. Our church is passionate about passing on a vibrant and thriving faith in Jesus Christ from one generation to the next. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth/Young Adult Minister to lead, disciple, and equip the next generation of believers.

The Youth/Young Adult Minister will oversee ministry to students (grades 7–12) and young adults (ages 18–25), cultivating spiritual growth, outreach, and discipleship. This role is crucial for raising up the next generation of leaders who will continue the mission of Christ. The minister will lead students and young adults to engage in the church’s vision to Gather, Grow, Give, and Go as disciples of Jesus.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and special events.
Develop and disciple students and young adults through expositional, Word-driven teaching.
Build relationships with students, parents, and young adults while fostering a disciple-making culture.
Organize retreats, camps, mission trips, and outreach opportunities.
Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders.
Develop connections with local schools, universities, and campus ministries.
Utilize technology and social media to engage and encourage students and young adults.
Partner with pastoral staff to support the overall mission and vision of the church.

Qualifications

Born-again believer with a growing relationship with Christ.
Meets the biblical character qualifications for ministry leadership (1 Timothy 3).
A clear calling to youth and young adult ministry.
Formal training in theology, Christian education, or youth/young adult ministry.
Minimum of two years of ministry experience working with youth or young adults.
Strong teaching ability with commitment to expositional, Scripture-centered ministry.
Passion for evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.
Proficient with technology and social media platforms.
Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time salaried position.
