DCS is an employee‑owned company focused on providing engineering, programmatic, and technical support services to the Department of Defense and other national security customers. We are seeking a Graphic Designer to lead high‑impact visual communications efforts that support internal initiatives and customer deliverables.
The Graphic Designer will serve as a creative lead responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering compelling visual products that communicate complex information clearly and effectively. This role partners closely with program teams and senior leadership to translate technical content into engaging graphics, presentations, technical reports, and digital assets. The ideal candidate combines strong design skills with strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
This is a part‑time, on‑call role with hours scheduled based on organizational needs.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute high‑quality graphic designs for proposals, briefings, reports, marketing materials, and digital content.
Create visual concepts that simplify and clarify technical and programmatic information for DOW and national security audiences.
Create branding and visual identity efforts, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver creative solutions that meet project goals.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept through production, while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Maintain and update design templates, style guides, and asset libraries to support organizational efficiency.
Ensure all graphics meet accessibility, formatting, and compliance requirements for government and corporate standards.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and refine visual materials as needed.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship and active DOW Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field and 8+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in government, defense, or technical settings.
Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
Strong experience creating printed and digital materials, including technical reports, brochures, and multi‑element layouts.
Ability to turn complex or vague concepts into clear, professional visuals.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Experience preparing briefing packages, documentation, certificates, technical reports, and other visual materials.
Strong portfolio demonstrating data visualization, layout design, and brand development.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time‑management skills.
Motion graphics or digital media experience preferred.
