Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payment requests using 2-way or 3-way PO matching via accounts payable software.
• Verify approval and completeness of information on invoices and payment requests.
• Ensure compliance with company policy for approvals.
• Review and resolve vendor invoices through account aging statements.
• Process invoices and payment requests in Oracle in accordance with departmental metrics.
• Resolve invoice holds and discrepancies to ensure timely payment.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Assist with the opening and distribution of department mail.
• Perform job duties in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Three or more years of experience in Accounts Payable or related business experience.
• Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite or other large ERP systems.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a Purchase Order environment.
• Working knowledge of procurement and payables using an integrated ERP.
• Advanced knowledge of full cycle Accounts Payable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically a shared office setting with normal business hours. However, the role may require spending extensive time in the field, involving exposure to heavy construction equipment, outdoor elements, and physical exertion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
