Warehouse Clerk
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to support a busy heavy equipment mechanic shop. This individual will play a critical role in keeping maintenance operations running smoothly by coordinating parts and tools, monitoring preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment with a clear opportunity to advance into a Maintenance Planner position within approximately one year.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Pull and stage parts and tools for efficient technician access.
- Coordinate and receive parts, tools, and equipment deliveries.
- File, review, and track invoices related to parts and maintenance.
- Log inventory usage, part numbers, and adjustments in internal systems and Excel.
- Report daily part usage and inventory changes.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to order parts and follow up on deliveries.
- Operate a forklift safely to move large or heavy materials.
- Maintain organization and accuracy in storage and inventory areas.
- Support mechanics and maintenance leadership with day-to-day material needs.
- Experience in a warehouse, parts room, or maintenance support role.
- Forklift driving experience required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and Excel.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working around heavy equipment.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment
The role is based in a hot, dusty, loud, and industrial mechanic shop environment that is not climate-controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The position requires the ability to lift 75 lbs or more regularly and involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trinity, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
