Lead with Excellence as an RN Unit Manager

Opp Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Unit Manager to provide leadership, clinical oversight, and exceptional resident care within our long-term care and rehabilitation community.

As an RN Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care by overseeing daily clinical operations, supervising and mentoring nursing staff, and partnering with the Director of Nursing to maintain the highest standards of resident care. This leadership position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both residents and team members while fostering a positive, supportive care environment.

What You'll Do

1. Oversee daily resident care and clinical operations within your assigned unit.
2. Supervise, support, and develop nursing staff to promote excellence in patient care.
3. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
4. Serve as a trusted liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers.
5. Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
6. Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
7. Assists in maintaining resident care standards by supervising and directing activities of subordinate nurses engaged in quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review activities.
8. Receives physicians' instructions regarding resident care and ensures that orders are transmitted to other units as needed.
9. Oversees delegation of nursing and other therapeutic procedures to other level professionals and paraprofessional associates.
10. Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess residents’ physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment and nursing observations.

Qualifications:

1. Current R.N. license by State required with experience in the long term care or working with the geriatric population preferred.
2. Must have at least two years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience.
3. Clerical ability is necessary to read reports and utilize data accurately for other purposes.
4. Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service for residents.
5. Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.
