MSRC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Maneuver Short Range Air Defense Increment 4 and SGT STOUT programs within the SHIELD Project Office. This position provides on-site quality engineering support and technical guidance to the SHIELD Quality and Reliability Engineering Directorate. The candidate will contribute to the development, production, and sustainment of advanced weapon systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or support quality management system activities and program assessments.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide quality engineering guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support supply chain quality management and production line validation activities.
- Assist with technical data package development and review.
- Support environmental stress screening and reliability initiatives.
- Provide input to Statements of Work (SOWs) and requirements development.
- Develop and review acceptance test plans, first article testing, and factory acceptance testing activities.
- Support inspection and test equipment validation and calibration processes.
- Manage nonconforming material processes and corrective action activities.
- Conduct root cause and failure analyses and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform defect tracking, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support critical characteristics management and statistical process control activities.
- Prepare and coordinate Quality Engineering (QE) materiel release statements.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant quality engineering experience supporting defense, aerospace, or complex systems programs.
- Experience supporting development, manufacturing, and/or sustainment of weapon systems.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, testing methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government, contractor, and cross-functional teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
