Staff Accountant
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Perry, GA. Duties:
- Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
- Collaborate with AR/AP teams to support invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Review aging reports and assist with follow-up communications
- Help ensure timely and accurate transaction processing
- Compile and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across business functions
- Assist in developing dashboards and reports to identify trends and opportunities
- As a Staff Accountant, you will support leadership in analyzing operational performance
- Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls
- Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and journal entries
- Support preparation of financial data for tax and regulatory filings
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business operations
- Experience in project-based or operational environments is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts)
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork across departments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
