As the **Systems Engineer** supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense \(THAAD\) Weapon System Engineering, Integration, and Test \(WSEIT\) Weapon Systems Engineering \(WSE\) Design and Analysis Team, you will:
- Design & build modern Qt applications \(Qt5 Qt6, javascript\) that provide intuitive, responsive GUIs for model and simulation performance data\.
- Create interactive data dashboards \(real time plots, heat maps, 3 D visualizations, playback controls\) using QtChart, QtDataVisualization, and Python based libraries \(PyQt6, Matplotlib, Plotly\) where appropriate\.
- Integrate simulation data pipelines \(high fidelity\) into the dashboards, ensuring low latency updates and seamless user experience\.
- Develop reusable UI components and widgets \(custom plots, timeline controls, scenario selectors\) that can be shared across multiple teams and other Lockheed Martin programs\.
- Database storage and retrieval Create and maintain database frameworks for large numeric databases\.
- Write clean, well documented code and maintain comprehensive developer documentation for UI architecture, data formats, and dashboard workflows\.
- Develop automated unit and integration test suites for UI components and data validation pipelines, supporting SCR verification\.

**Basic Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and processes
- Active or Current Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship Required
**Desired Skills:**
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field and/or equivalent experience
- Understanding of overall system engineering process
- Ballistic Missile Defense System \(BMDS\) design and analysis
- Medium or high fidelity simulation experience
- System performance assessment tactics
- Scripting with Python, Matlab, Unix, Linux, Shell, Bash, c\+\+, etc\.\.\.
- Ability to define and detail solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior
management and to the customer
- Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
- Knowledge of AGILE process

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
