Hiring CNC Machinist in Muscle Shoals, Alabama

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in a dynamic industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both conventional and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, boring machines, and portable machining tools. This role involves precision work, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure high-quality production and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines (lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, boring mills, machining centers).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining procedures.
• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining with precision.
• Select and secure tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Adjust machine settings and controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Perform trial runs and routine maintenance on machines.
• Align and install machinery using hoists, jacks, and precision measuring tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Continuously develop machining and maintenance skills to support process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in a conventional machining environment and/or roll grinding.
• Proficiency in CNC and manual machining techniques.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical principles.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret technical documentation.
• Experience with inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or Journeyman’s card preferred.
• Experience in a machine shop or industrial maintenance setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
