Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

Perform various style changes and checks on products and the settings of the machines to verify accuracy and quality.

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
• Perform style changes according to specifications
• Perform quality audits on carpet for lines, loops, crossed or missing ends
• Monitor weight variance reports, dye header reports, and tufting machines for correct stitch, pile height, width, tickets and backing
• Verify meters for accuracy
• Work along with Quality Control Assistant
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge: Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• Prior experience in operating tufting machine equipment required, and/or equivalent combination of on-the-job training and work experience in quality
• Familiarity with PC and other department specific database systems
• Familiar with location of all SDS sheets in departments
• Knowledge of all testing and procedures performed on BCF yarn
• Basic knowledge of AS400
• Discern between colors and pass the Munsell hue test
