Converting Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Converting Supervisor for our facilities in Dallas, TX, Montgomery, AL, and Tupelo, MS. The ideal candidate will have a background in converting within the corrugate industry, particularly in paper to box conversion. As a Converting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of production in the facility. This includes overseeing the Converting machines, managing personnel, and ensuring production targets are met to meet demand.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute safety briefings to crews on designated shifts, emphasizing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual safety protocols.
Monitor the workplace safety environment, identifying and addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, safe work practices, and plant policies.
Monitor and track daily production goals for Converting machines using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report results on the plant scorecard.
Manage workforce planning, including work schedule fulfillment and adherence to attendance policies.
Communicate effectively with all functional areas of the plant to ensure successful achievement of production needs.
Promote positive employee relations, interdepartmental communication, and collaboration.
Supervise daily production activities, including team member oversight, and monitor individual performance levels.
Monitor and participate in Daily Management Systems (DMS) to track progress against production goals and enable performance excellence.
Qualifications:

High School diploma or G.E.D. - Required
3+ years of supervisory or 5 years of team lead experience in a packaging operations facility - Required
Converting Equipment Experience - Labelers, Rotary Die Cutter, Flatbed Die Cutter, Flexo Folder Gluer, Folder Gluer
Additional Requirements:

Background in converting within the corrugate industry, with specific expertise in paper to box conversion.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration across functional areas.
Proven experience in managing production targets and metrics to meet demand.
Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Daily Management Systems (DMS) is a plus.
