If you like building things, model making, sewing, crafts, etc. this may be a way to apply your skills and hobbies. Snelling is currently recruiting for an Electronic Circuit Board Assembler for an established electronic instruments manufacturing firm in the Irondale area.

The hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.

The pay rate is $18.00-19.00/hr, depending on experience.

JOB DUTIES FOR ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLER:

• Sets-up work and properly executes procedures to safely and effectively:
  • Place and solder components into printed circuit boards.
  • Cut, strip, tin and complete wiring harnesses.
  • Wind coils using winding machine and build antenna assemblies.
  • Combine sub-assemblies into products.
• Inspect parts/components for proper fit and finish prior to assembly.
• Checks assemblies for proper function and quality standards before moving them to the next step in production.
• Stocks production boxes and maintain records.
• Serves as a backup for product and subassembly testing and tuning.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLER:

• 2-3 years’ experience in soldering through-hole and SMT components
• Demonstrated success in a circuit board assembly and/or batch-production environment is desirable
• Work well individually (self-managed & motivated), and as part of a team with personnel from all levels
• Assembly Skills - Proficient at soldering through-hole and/or SMT components.
• Proficient with hand tools and possess good hand and eye coordination.
