IT SENIOR SPECIALIST
: Description:
Summary/Objective
The IT Senior Specialist will oversee all IT processes and infrastructure for the company. They will need to have a thorough understanding of our IT infrastructure and be able to provide daily support. They will work will all levels of the business and must be comfortable troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating issues on time.
Requirements:Essential Functions
- Creating new technologies or improving existing technology to increase efficiency or improve user experience
- Providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, and resolving issues for all computer systems, applications, and networks, including hardware, operating systems, and software
- Performing capacity planning for computer systems to ensure adequate processing power for current users and future growth
- Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting new applications, systems, or other technology components
- Designing, developing, and implementing new computer systems or improving existing systems based on business needs
- Developing new methods or techniques for using technology in new areas or applications
- Analyzing data to determine problems with equipment or processes
- Recommending upgrades and changes to existing computer systems to improve efficiency or productivity
- Conducting security audits to ensure that computer systems are secure from unauthorized access or attack
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, understanding, and logical troubleshooting
- Interface with support vendors as needed to complete technical projects.
- Assist with IT projects/tasks and duties as assigned by the IT Director.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or higher in related area
- Prefer at least 5 years first hand experience in IT support
- Knowledge working with MS Windows and Server based OS, MS Active Directory, Office 365 productivity software, hardware, LAN/WAN configuration
- Must have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proven sense of urgency and accountability in completing jobs, along with the ability to work in a team environment
- Initiative-taker who can find additional projects when systems are working well
- Must be comfortable working in a challenging environment with shifting priorities.
