Form Carpenter - Port of Mobile - Pier B
Concrete Form Carpenter – Alabama State Docks (Port of Mobile)
Pay: $28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Overtime: Available as needed
Job Duration: Long-term / Indefinite
We are currently hiringexperienced Concrete Form Carpenters for a long-term project at the Alabama State Docks (Port of Mobile).
Job Responsibilities
- Remove and replace deteriorated concrete pilings.
- Build and install concrete forms.
- Place and tie rebar for reinforced concrete structures.
- Pour and finish concrete.
- Cut out and replace structural steel beams beneath concrete surfaces.
- Assist with constructing a reinforced crane pad designed to support heavy-duty port cranes.
- Perform other carpentry and concrete duties as assigned while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a concrete form carpenter in a heavy industrial setting
- Experience working with rebar, concrete forms, and structural concrete.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid TWIC Card (Required).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must successfully complete a 7-year criminal background check.
