As a Collections Specialist, you'll play a vital role in protecting the financial health of a rapidly growing company by making sure outstanding balances don't slow us down. You'll connect directly with customers, and use your communication and problem-solving skills to find solutions that work for everyone. Whether you're negotiating a payment plan, resolving a billing dispute, or tracking down a hard-to-reach account, your work keeps our operation moving and our customer relationships intact. Job Duties:

• Monitor the firm’s accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments.
• Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.
• Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
• Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.

Education:

• Some college preferred
• High School diploma required

Physical Requirements

• Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.

• Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. (example: Paper for Printer)
