HVAC Service Technician

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to support residential and light commercial service operations in Platte City, MO. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong diagnostic skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot and repair heating and cooling systems.

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for identifying mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, and delivering dependable service to customers throughout Platte City. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Service equipment including furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, air handlers, and related components
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to improve system performance and lifespan
• Identify repair needs and recommend solutions or system upgrades when appropriate
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
• Complete detailed service documentation, including parts used and repair notes
• Communicate findings and maintenance recommendations clearly to customers
• Coordinate with installation teams and office staff for efficient scheduling and workflow

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of HVAC service and repair experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, airflow, and diagnostics
• EPA certification required (additional certifications a plus)
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturer schematics
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Excellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards
