Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a Paraprofessional role assisting in an elementary school setting, providing crucial support in a structured after-school program.
Location:
- Vestavia Hills Elementary Cahaba Heights, 4401 Dolly Ridge Rd, Vestavia Hills, AL
Schedule:
- After School Hours: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Onsite work only
Duration:
- Contract position available immediately through May 21, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning activities and classroom management during after-school hours
- Assist teachers in supervising and engaging students in educational and recreational activities
- Help create a safe and positive environment for all students
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Paraprofessional in school settings preferred
- Credentialed Paraprofessionals are preferred, with the possibility to renew credentials for the next school year
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and school staff
