Industrial Maintenance Technician

Description

-Must have good mechanical and electrical aptitude on industrial machinery and equipment, and be able to troubleshoot electrical panels and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

-Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, schematics, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

-Uses Machine, Equipment Manuals and Electrical Ladder Diagrams to troubleshoot and identify faulty circuits, wiring and components in Industrial Machines and Equipment.

-Proficient in testing electrical systems using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and ammeters, and insulation testers to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

-3-phase, 480V, and industrial troubleshooting experience, assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, machines, motor control circuits, and fixtures.

-Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

-Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

-Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

-Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. establishing personal networks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
