We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive outstanding service and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of healthcare-related processes and systems.
Responsibilities:• Respond promptly to inbound calls, addressing patient inquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism.
• Assist in obtaining authorizations for medical procedures and services as required.
• Manage benefit-related functions to provide patients with accurate information about their coverage.
• Handle billing-related tasks, ensuring accurate processing and communication with patients.
• Utilize Cerner technologies and other computer programs to efficiently manage patient information and documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a call center environment, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
• Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and organizational policies.• Proficiency in Cerner technologies and other healthcare-related computer programs.
• Experience in answering inbound calls and providing customer support in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of authorization processes for medical procedures and services.
• Familiarity with benefit functions and billing procedures in the healthcare industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
