Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026\.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical support to a variety of technical tasks\.
\- Gather, maintain, format, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes\.
- Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings \(flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics\)
- Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
- Participate in activities with domain experts across subsystems, SEIT, and special disciplines
- Participate in subsystem level technical reviews including TIMs, SRRs, PDRs, etc
This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. A government security clearance is required\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
- Actively enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
- Experience with analyzing and resolving technical problems or projects
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with CAD
- Eligibility to obtain a U\.S Government Secret Level Security Clearance \- U\.S\. Citizenship required
**Desired Skills:**
- Proficient in complex problem solving requiring multidisciplinary thinking
- Experience with System or System of Systems level design
- Excellent communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, customers, and leadership\.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team\-based environment
- Active or Current Secret Security clearance

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
