Reports To: Store Manager, Warehouse Manager

Schedule: 9am – 5pm with rotating Saturdays

Position Summary:

The full-time universal associate is a flexible and reliable team member capable of performing all warehouse/donation pickup responsibilities and some front of house responsibilities. This role supports daily operations in sales, customer service, donations and logistics. Associate will help to ensure a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for customers, donors, volunteers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse / Donation Processing

- Receive, sort, and price incoming donations as directed
- Move merchandise to and from the sales floor
- Assist with staging, organization and cleaning of warehouse areas
- Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks and other equipment as trained

Driving / Donation Pickups:

- Drive ReStore truck to pick up scheduled donations
- Provide professional and courteous service to donors
- Load and unload items using proper lifting and securing methods
- Complete donation forms and maintain a clean, safe vehicle

Front-of-House / Sales Floor:

- Greet and assist customers with purchases and inquiries
- Operate the cash register and process sales accurately
- Restock shelves and merchandise donations attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the retail area
- Enforce store policies and support loss prevention efforts
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Valid Alabama driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
- Able to tolerate extreme heat and cold conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. regularly
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Self-motivated, flexible and mission-driven
- Retail or warehouse experience is a plus
-Clean MVR, criminal background check, drug screening

Our sales help fund the local Alabama HFH State Office and Affiliate charged with new home construction as well as home improvements.
