Processes legal documents received by the Credit Union according to State, Federal and NCUA guidelines and ensures legal validity of negotiated contracts to minimize risk and protect the confidentiality and integrity of the Credit Union.## Job Description## **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Plans and conducts investigations of current and potential vendors and business partners to evaluate and mitigate risk; assists other departments with the assessment of vendors and outsourced services; compiles risk management and contract documentation for review.* Monitors current contract renewals, extensions and terminations; reviews and negotiates new contracts with vendors and business partners; drafts finalized contracts, renewals and terminations.* Provides guidance and assistance to Credit Union staff regarding third party vendor contracts, relationships and loss mitigation.* Interacts with upper management and legal counsel to research and resolve problems utilizing legal sources such as statutes, legal codes and case law to ensure legal compliance and provide requested information.* Reviews contracts and other legal documents and ensures they are processed in a timely manner, assists other department staff as necessary.* Supervises and prepares records and reports of vendor contracts and relationships; ensures a database of information, including, but not limited to; evaluations, approvals or denials, vendor classifications and correspondence is maintained and up-to-date.* Assists department in developing and recommending third party vendor management procedures.* Finds ways to continually improve the efficiency of departmental processes to provide the best service to our members.* Promotes the Credit Union by participating in community involvement and special events.## **Company Wide Expectations*** Maintains a professional image and demeanor at all times, consistently demonstrating Credit Union RISE Values and adhering to the Code of Ethics.* Delivers friendly, caring service to internal and external members.* Complies with all applicable State, Federal and NCUA rules and regulations and all Credit Union policies and procedures.* Follow all physical and online security procedures and maintain strict confidentiality of all member information.* Completes all required regulatory and compliance training and maintains required knowledge of Credit Union products and services.* Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality.* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.## **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE****Minimum Qualifications**To perform this job satisfactorily, an employee must be able to carry out each essential duty competently. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others.
