**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated technician to perform a variety of duties including installing and inspecting piping, troubleshooting and repairing pumps, and other equipment used in everyday landfill operations. This role involves outdoor maintenance tasks such as material movement, leachate management, digging ditches, and various laborer duties.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and inspect piping systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair pumps and other operational equipment.
+ Manage leachate systems and perform related maintenance tasks.
+ Engage in general labor duties such as digging ditches and moving materials.
+ Operate heavy equipment, including skid steers and bobcats when necessary.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 1 year of experience working on a construction job site.
+ At least 1 year of general labor experience.
+ Proficiency in mechanical tasks and hand tool usage.
+ Ability to operate heavy equipment.
+ Experience in repair, carpentry, and landscaping.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with hand tools and installation or troubleshooting is highly beneficial.
+ Experience working outside in various weather conditions.

**Work Environment**
Contractors will work at the landfill in Collinsville, AL, maintaining the leachate system. The environment is outdoors and requires comfort with elements and all weather conditions. The shift runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available upon familiarity with duties. The team currently consists of 8 members, and contractors may assist with VAC truck operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collinsville, Alabama.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
