Are you over pushing "plans?" Come join us at Altadena Valley Animal Clinic- a privately owned small animal practice in Birmingham, AL. We are hiring a licensed veterinary technician or experienced veterinary assistant. We are looking for a confident, motivated, and energetic individual to fill this position.
Skills required include proficiency in assisting in veterinarians in exam rooms, anesthetic procedures- soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and strong client communication and education abilities. Additional desired (but not required) skills are experience with dental radiographs and cystocentesis.
Schedule is four weekdays 8am-6pm and generally two Saturdays per month from 8am-12pm.Technicians also rotate (usually once monthly) supervising boarding animals’ medical care, which is mostly giving oral medications, and the occasional diabetic boarder.

We are a multi-doctor practice with a small staff that likes to have fun and laugh at work.
